When I lost my job the day after New Years 2026, the party hats and streamers quickly came down, and my quest for employment immediately began. Interview after interview, and month after month passed. Our faith in Christ kept us steady in the mindset that God WAS GOING TO provide for us. But after the months went on we quickly realized our timeline wasn't God's. We were on STAND BY. We TRUSTED that God was going to lead us toward a destination; but we didn't know WHEN or HOW He was going to get us to said destination. Through months of waiting, we realized that the "destination" God was leading us to, was possibly exactly where we were at. What seemed like a glitch in the plan -- was actually the plan all along. That birthed the Brand name STVNDBY. To appreciate the people that are in long stretches of being put on stand by. But more so, the fact that God is just as faithful during the moments we're in waiting as He is in the moments of great revelation and provision. And maybe, just maybe, Stand By is actually where you need to be.
Why the V instead of an A?
Well, Besides the fact that it looks cool-- we want it to represent the reality that sometimes you have to look at your situation from God's perspective-- which if we're honest with ourselves, is upside down from our perspective! So the "V" is actually an upside down "A" that reminds us to look at things from God's perspective while we are in STVNDBY.
